Stainless steel prongs. Rubber tree wood handle. Length of prongs 6 cm, 3 cm apart. Total length 44.5 cm, width 6.5 cm. Weight 270 g. With leather hanging loop.
This is a typical English tool – and we've stolen the name 'grubber' as well! The grubber is used for cutting up, loosening and aerating the soil when a sowing area has to be prepared. Particular attention has been paid to the weight (it's light: a bare 300 g!) and to the balance between head and handle, with the idea of making the grubber easy and pleasant to use over longer periods. It's been made for us by the renowned Sheffield firm of Burgon & Ball.
